Janet Turner Elected Board Vice President at Southeastern Regional Relocation Council
Janet Turner, DN Van Lines, Director of Corporate Relocation was recently elected Board Vice President at the The Southeastern Regional Relocation Council (SRRC). The SRRC, established in 1988, is an organization dedicated to providing a forum for education, problem solving and networking for relocation professionals. The SRRC has been recognized by the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (WERC) as one of their regional groups.
WERC— an organization initially developed by a small number of individuals to address the growing needs of a nation moving its employees to increase productivity — has evolved to become the premier trade association for talent management and global mobility knowledge. SRRC is one of 32 US regional relocation councils recognized by WERC that bring together relocation and mobility professionals to advance efficiency, professionalism, knowledge and leadership through state-of-the-art technology, best-practice modeling, and expert insight.

Janet has served in various roles at SRRC since joining the group in 2018 and being elected to the board in 2021. She has been active in Membership, Scholarship and Community Outreach efforts. “It’s been a challenging and interesting period adjusting to the pandemic. We managed to move many of our activities online but in the fall of 2021, we had our first in-person event in two years. Our group is a very socially active group, so even though we had to adapt to pandemic safety protocols, we had a great event which reinforced the value of the information sharing and networking that SRRC fosters.”
SRRC has big plans for its 2022 Fall Conference which will be held at the famous Don DeCer Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida from Sept. 13 through 15.
