Oded Carmi Runs for Re-election to IAM Executive Board
At the upcoming IAM Annual Meeting and Expo to be held in Orlando, Florida October 13 – 16, DN Van Lines’ President, Oded Carmi will run for re-election for the Governing Member At-Large position on its Executive Board.
“In the face of extreme challenges, the IAM stepped up and made the difference in representing and advocating for its diverse membership but there’s still much that we need to accomplish. That’s why I’m asking for your vote so that I can continue to work on your behalf.” said Oded Carmi in explaining his decision run for re-election.
Oded has been particularly active in contributing to the organization of an active Domestic Asset Based Mover Group (DAB) within the IAM. Among other initiatives, the DAB Group is following the upcoming award for the Global Household Goods Contract (GHC) which will transform how the industry’s largest customer, the US Department of Defense will do business with the moving industry. Ensuring an effective communication and collaboration channel between DABs and the GHC awardee is critical and a priority that Oded will focus on when he is re-elected.
Relationships are key to effectively representing IAM Members as they face what may be the most challenging period in the industry’s history. Oded serves as First Vice President of the Massachusetts Movers Association and is a member of the Executive Committee of the ATA’s Moving & Storage Conference. DN Van Lines is also co-hosting the 46th Annual Dispatcher’s Conference in March of 2022 which may afford the first opportunity for the GHC awardee to meet with their industry partners.
